Is your iPhone on and nearby? Have you actually put the earbuds in pairing mode per the manufacturers directions so they can actually pair with your MacBook?
These are the two most common reasons people have with pairing. They are already paid to another device which is on and they are not in pairing mode to be able to pair with the MB. Turn your iPhone off. Put the buds in pairing mode and they'll pair with your MB.

Thanks lobsterghost1.
Resolved by removing the device on my iPhone first, then paired it with my Mac successfully. Then iPhone was able to discover it too after disconnecting it from Mac. I wish I won't have to toggle connect and disconnect from my Phone to my Mac :)
Do you know a solution to keep it connected to both iPhone and Mac?
Your buds need to support multipoint pairing. Some higher end buds do. But that's a feature which the buds themselves need to support. Most buds however, can be paired to multiple devices, just not play on multiple devices at the same time. If this is the case with your buds, you'll have connect them to whichever device you want to use each time. But you won't have to pair them each time.
I am trying to pair BLX Buds earbuds. I was able to pair successfully with my iPhone, but not with Mac.
