Screen impossible to read in sunlight. Iphone 13. What to do?

I restarted my phone and it is nice and bright enough, but within a few seconds it goes dim by itself even though the brightness level is still all the way up. It doesn’t make any sense. Other iPhone users that I’ve been with in the sun have no issues with their phone screens and their phones are bright and still easily readable in the sun. I have to squint and create shade just to be able to see what I’m doing on my phone and it’s frustrating! Please help!

iPhone 13 Pro Max unusable under the sunlight in summer! I have been using the iphone 13 pro max for a few days on vacation and I noticed that after about 5 minutes, the screen starts to decrease brightness, and at 7:30 the screen drops to an unacceptable brightness level, such as to make the unusable device. the smartphone returns as bright as it should only after leaving it in the shade for at least another 7 minutes. Not my case, but a friend also has the exact same problem. Definitely not acceptable.

Screen brightness My wife and i have the exact same phone (iPhone max 12pro. In sunlight, mine goes so dark i can barely see it. Hers is normal. I have verified all settings are the same. Brightness, white point, etc. what else can i do? It is unusable in bright daylight.

OLED screens can have challenges in direct sunlight, but this is something that has improved a lot over the years, but without being resolved 100% yet.

Best advice is to turn up the brightness completely, or completely low-practice try not to have direct sun on the screen. I experience it myself from time to time on my iPhone 12.
