My iPad just updated to 12 and says it is fully updated. My wife’s iPad ( same pad)is updated to 15. What could be the reason I am behind? My husband and identical iPads. Mine just updated to 15. His just updatedto12 with message saying it is fully updated. What is the difference?

This device does not qualify to run anything newer than iOS 12.

Options - purchase a new or newer iPhone that can run the current version of iOS 15.5
