Itouch won't accept new password

I access my work email via my itouch, and I recently had to change my password account. I did so, and changed the password on my itouch, but it isn't accepting it. I've also tried deleting the account, and starting over with a new account with the new password - that doesn't work either. I can access wifi at home and at work - any suggestions?
