Verification code

I believe I forgot to add my phone number to iMessage so now that I’m trying to add it it’s asking me for a verification code but the text will not come through? How do I get this verification code so I can add iMessage to my new 13 Pro? Thank you

I cannot get the code as my phone cannot text or call and then telks me my old phone is using same phone #. Thxs
