spring loading - Monterey

I notice that, since the upgrade, this function works on some folders and not others.

Anyone found a fix?

Spring Loaded folders not working. Not really a question. But I was trying to post an answer to the problem. Seems all the threads on the issue were locked. And the forum suggested opening a new Thread. Spring loaded folders didn't work for me either on Ventura. The easiest fix was to check this section in preferences and disable the app that was intercepting "spring loading" Just my 2$

Spring loaded folders not working Just read the community thread elsewhere, where a community support person seemed to suggest that in order to have a basic function work, one had to do a clean install of one's entire system. Really? That's the answer? I shake my head in disbelief. That's the equivalent of telling someone to fix a leaky pipe by tearing out all the existing plumbing in one's house.

Has Ventura changed how CWD is set when executing a jar file? Six years ago I wrote a Java App that assumed (possibly incorrectly) that the current working directory for the JVM would be set to the directory containing the jar file. So when I installed the app I put it into a new directory under documents. This has worked fine on Windows and MacOS through a number of system upgrades until Ventura where suddendly the app failed because it was unable to locate its database. After much thrashing around I discovered accidentally that if I moved the directory containing the jar file to some location other than under documents or desktop, it resumed normal execution. I haven't tested all the subdirectories under my home directory other than documents and desktop. What I did was simply add a new subdirectory to my home directory. I should also say that I upgraded the jre to the latest one, but that did not solve the problem.

If not already done - suggest updating to current version 12.4 released May 16, 2022

Suggest doing A Time Machine Backup before attempting.

The update may or may not be related to this computer issue

I don’t see this in my mac.

Perhaps changing the speed may help?
