Looking through the accessories for my latest iPad Pro, I came across the Satechi multiport USBC dongle. It has SD card slot, USB3 port and USBC port.
Can I use this dongle to transfer image files from an SD card to an external SSD on the USB3 port, via the iPad Pro?

Thank you so much, I will be checking out the software. There are dedicated SD card readers with built in storage, but having an iPad, with a huge screen, would be fantastic on shoots.
Indeed, you have a wide choice of SD Card Readers, some being incorporated within USB Hubs. The reader hardware is just half of the equation 🙂
