Update credit card iOS

I have a new payment card but am unable to cancel original payment card as instructed by iCloud because the regular payment registered for iCloud is still active.

Add the new Payment card first. Once it's been verified, you can make it the default payment method instead of the other card. Then remove the other payment method.

Did you make it the default or first card to be used for payment as explained in the support document I linked to?

Change the order of your payment methods — Tap Edit, then drag the move order icon .*

Hi. Thank you for the response. I had already added the details of my replacement card (as previous card lost)but the funds were not taken from that card.
