Take Photo from Video iPhone SE Model MX992LL/A

I want to take stills from my videos. I have tried using the edit button and then pressing the volume and off buttons simultaneously, but my screen never turns white, and if I have made a still photo, I cannot find it.

To take screen shots on an iPhones with a home button like the iPhone SE, you use the Power and Home buttons. Not volume.
