iPad is not starting. We tried to update but it continues to display iPad/restore

ipad continues to display “support.apple.com/iPad/restore”


do I need to take it in or can I do this on my own (any help is appreciated)

follow steps here If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
