Visit iCloud.com and see if your photos and contacts are there. If so, you had iCloud enabled for that data, you can manually transfer them from there. (That’s a slog, but you have the data.)

If not, and if you have iCloud backups or have iPhone backups on a local Mac or Windows computer, you can restore the backup to an iPhone or iPad (borrowed or bought), and transfer then from there to Android.

If the photos and contacts are not available at iCloud.com, and if you have no iCloud backups (and no Mac or Windows backups), your data is gone with the now lost or stolen iPhone.

As I was apparently unclear about the audience for this question, you are asking folks with comparatively little experience transferring from iPhone to Android. The information is maintained in iCloud, if that was enabled for Photos and Contacts. Check iCloud.com, using the same Apple ID to log in there as you used with the iPhone.

Otherwise, you will have to restore to an iPhone or iPad, and transfer the data from there.

As for moving to Android generally, it’s likely better to ask about this of existing Android users and Android forums, as they’ll be more familiar with migrations in that direction.
