Whenever I’m on facetime and i swipe up to switch apps / close them, my screen and the audio from facetime starts lagging. I’ve already tried deleting and reinstalling, updating to the latest iOS and deleting cache but the problem keeps occurring.
Does anyone know a solution for my problem?

If we’re understanding correctly, this only happens when you have the App Switcher open, is that right? Once you return to the FaceTime app things are working as anticipated again?
Your profile indicates we’re working with an iPhone XS. Be sure to also test this when using both cellular data and Wi-Fi, to make sure nothing network wise is going on.

No, when I’m on FaceTime and also using another app at the same time the screen starts getting real slow, and when I open App Switcher the sound starts lagging as well as the screen. This goes on until the phone restarts itself and hangs up the FaceTime.
And yes it’s an iPhone XS, I haven’t experienced this with celluar data yet, but i will experiment to see if it has the same effect. I also have a XR that doesn’t have this problem at all so I don’t quite understand whats wrong with my XS.
