Ever since updating to 12.4 I've lost my screen saver. I always just used the included Monterey screen saver with pics of the Monterey area. However, now, I can't even point the screen saver preferences to them. It's like they were taken off my computer in the update. How do I recover the default screen savers?

See if the issue is the same in Safe Mode. Then start up in normal mode to see if the issue persists.

If there is no change try Get Support, top right on this page.
Open your Photo app. Wait for it to finish updating the library. Then go back to Screen Saver preference. You should now be able to see "Photo Library..." as an option. Then, you need to wait a while for the photos and/or albums to be populated. My library has 52,091 photos, it took about 3 minutes to see all my photos/albums there in the Screen Saver preference.

See if it's in System > Library > Screen Savers. It's called Monterey.saver.
Thanks for your reply! I should’ve been more specific. That file is in system-library-screen savers however, it is greyed out and not selectable as an option. It somehow did t download when I upgraded or lost its path somehow.

Sorry I'm a bit confused. The Monterey screen saver never showed pics of the Monterey area. Rather it showed the various abstract Monterey Desktop images.
