firmware password

Do you have to have a firmware password? I don't remember making one.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.2

Set a firmware password on your Mac


If the User ( you ) has never gone into the Recovery Mode as per above link method and actually Enabled the Firmware - this becomes only an Academic question that does not required any more assistance.

Okay, thank you. Lol. Because I don't remember setting one up and to send my broken Mac back to Apple I needed to turn it off before being able to send it in. By now I'm pretty sure I never had one. Lol. Although I wouldn't be able to reset it anyway because the Mac doesn't even properly operate. Thank you for the response!
