How do I delete specific holidays that I do not participate in without deleting all?

I would like to delete Father’s Day altogether from my phone and computer calendar. My Dad has passed away and year after year I get a notification on that day. It’s bad enough that I can’t escape it on social media and have to avoid scrolling my feeds that day but I can’t just ignore my calendar too. I want to use Apple calendar and not a separate app.

Please help.

Firstly - we are sorry for your loss.

Technically - the request to remove a single Holiday appear not possible. It appears to be an All or Nothing deal.

Show or hide the Holidays calendar on Mac

The Holidays calendar displays holidays based on your computer’s region.

Note: The Holidays calendar is a subscription calendar. You can’t add or delete holidays in the Holidays calendar, because subscription calendars can be modified only by the calendar provider.
