Apple ID wrong phone number

Last night i received an email saying that my apple account was used on a certain phone. A minute later I received an email saying I should verify my apple ID. It was not me that tried to log in nor did i maka an account.

The phone number that is linked to the account is not mine eighter (the last 2 digits are not my last 2 digits). I have no idea what i shoud do now.

It looks as if someone used my emailadres to make an apple ID but used his or her own number. I want to have this account deleted or something, but can’t log in since i dont know the password or the phonenumber.

I hope someone knows that to do.

Many thanks.

Hi,

tnx for your quick reply.

I am pretty sure the email itself is no a phishing mail does come from apple. Problem is, that i did not make an account with the emailadres i received the emails on, and so i don't know what password was used. (I am am now using my work-apple ID to ask this question). When i click on 'forgot password' i get the following site:

So an account with my emailadres does exist, but the phonenumbers last two digets does not match my phonenumber. I therefor have no access to this account and no way to secure it..

This is the email I received. i have not clicked on 'Verify Now'

I suppose it cannot be used if I don't verify the account but i would rather not have some (possible fraudulent) account hanging around.
