Not Malware but System alerting the user running out of Free RAM
Open Activity Monitor >> View >>View All Processes and look for " Memory Pressure "
What does it say ??
Start closing Unneeded Application and pause - then, check Activity Monitor again. Any difference.

That's what I thought, too, when this first started appearing. But there are a couple of variations of this malware. And the pop up they show are somewhat different. Besides the one dialabrain linked to, here's another "look".
To the OP: DO NOT click on any download buttons on the page I linked to. You can type in almost any type of malware for a search and dozens of "fix" links will show up. All urging you to download something from that site. As the folks at MalwareBytes have found (and not at all surprising), these junk downloads are often worse than what they claim to fix.
Download and run MalwareBytes for Mac. It's free to use and easily removed with the uninstall option of its menu choices when you're done with it.
