I manually downloaded all the photos I wanted to keep off my iCloud Photo Library in order to free up space and successfully finally backup my iPhone due their being a lack of space in my iCloud. After downloading each individual photo I am interested to know where they ended up on my phone since I did it from my phone.

Not sure what you mean. If you downloaded your photos, they should be in photos. If you removed items from iCloud, they will also be removed from photos.
