Air Drop does not work

I just get the message "waiting" on my iMac, all settings as above..wifi and bluetooth ON, on same network, both signed into correct Apple ID iCloud ...air drop does not transfer from iphone..Looking at the Air Drop settings, my iPhone 12 promax is recognized, set to "everyone"

iMac 27″, macOS 11.6

Check your Firewall options. Make sure Allow built-in software to receive incoming connections is enabled.


Check that you haven't accidentally blocked yourself. Settings > Phone > Blocked contacts.


And check if there are any screen time restrictions.

Verify your software is up to date..


The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.4
