It has been a long time since I visited you folks. Nice to be back!
I just purchased a new 24" iMac. OS is Monterey 12.4
In my older iMac I had it set up so that when I plugged a USB Thumb Drive in the computer its remaining space would be shown.
I have had no luck googling this and sadly for me I can not find how I did it from my old tech notes.
Any ideas on how to have the Thumb Drives remaining space come up will be greatly appreciate.

Not sure how you did this before but I just right click on the drive and get info to see the space available.
Control (right) click on your Desktop > select Show View Options > check Show item info.
You can also use Disk Utility to view Flash drive usage:

It seems i misspoke myself earlier. The old iMac was not working so could not look at the Thumb Drive display on it. to refresh my memory.
Got that iMac up and running and both upon checking ... when the Thumb Drive icon comes up on the screen the full capacity of the drive and what is remaining appears directly below the Thumb's icon.
That is what I would like the Thumb Drives to display on my new iMac.
I hope I have made myself a tad more clear this time.
