Computer will bo allow back up

I open Time Machine and it brings up several pages and on the sidebar, the backup is grayed out. How do I change that so the USB that I last backup on can run?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4

Try holding the Option key and click open the TM icon in the upper right menu bar>Browse Other Back Up DIsk
