New IPhone SE not downloading apps from the App Store

I have a new 3rd generation SE and it is taking forever to download apps from the Cloud. It has been a day and a half and I still have only the basic Apple functions set up on the phone. Why is this happening?

Restart the iPhone and try again. Try a different Wi-Fi network, too. Failing that, and particularly given it’s new, contact Apple Support.
