Appstore Not Downloading Apps/Games

I have an iPhone XS. When i go to the Appstore to download an app or game, i tap the install button but it then keeps on loading( doesnt even bring the app on my home screen). I checked my internet connection on multiple devices and it works fine on them. After like 30 to 45 mins i get the install pop up on my screen but it still doesnt download the app. My previously deleted apps download perfectly but also with a delay. Please help me if there is a solution to my problem. Thank You

sufyan242,

It sounds like an internet connection is having an issue with the download. How are you being connected? Cellular data, Wi-Fi, or using a Personal Hotspot provided by another cellular device?

If using cellular data, whether your cellular service, or a Personal Hotspot, try using a known good Wi-Fi network instead. A Wi-Fi network which can be successfully used for iOS updates would be a "known good Wi-Fi network".

We're also not sure what you are referring to with "baseband". Could you provide some additional information to help the community understand?

Thanks!

Salutations sufyan242,

Here are some steps to take for issues downloading apps - If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad.

1. Open the App Store and sign in
If a blue account button appears at the top of the App Store, you might not be signed in. Tap it and sign in with your Apple ID. Learn what to do if you forgot your password.

Learn what to do if you can't open the App Store.

2. Manually update the app
In the App Store, try to update the app manually.

3. Check your payment method
You might need to have a payment method on file, even if the app that you want to download is free. See what payment method you have on file and make sure that it isn't expired, declined, or failed.

If you can't update apps and you see a message that says “your account is disabled in the App Store,” there might be a problem with your payment method. Contact Apple Support for assistance.

4. Prioritize the download
From the Home Screen, touch and hold the app. From the menu that appears, choose Prioritize Download.

5. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad.

Then check to see if you can download or update apps.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have a proper internet connection with 10mbps and is working fine on all my other devices.

Baseband is a part of the IC which is related to the Cellular ability of the iPhone. That part has been faulty for me in the past couple of days for some reason but it didnt cause any problems regarding downloading apps until last Friday, when i made the first post about this issue.

I think it could be related to the baseband but im really not sure.

Could it be because of the screen? cause i did get that changed due to a couple of scratches.

Thank You

Thank You For Replying To My Query

I have tried everything that you have stated but there is no possible solution to my problem. I also had a question that is the baseband of any iPhone have to do with this? PS This is the stage where my downloads get stuck for a very long time and in the end the download cancels itself cause i am having some problems with the baseband of my iPhone.

Thank You

Hello sufyan242,

Thanks for updating us with that information!

If you recently had your iPhone serviced with this occurring after service, you may want to consider checking with the location that service was performed at to see if they can check out what's occurring.

As for the Wi-Fi network connection, are you aware if you have a VPN installed to manage your network? If so, this can sometimes cause an issue with downloads so try a different Wi-Fi network that you can confirm works well. In addition, see if disconnecting some devices from the Wi-Fi network improves the download to see if the network may be too congested at the time.

Lastly, confirm that you're up-to-date with the latest iOS version on your iPhone. The following resource has steps to help with backing up your iPhone and updating, if an update is available: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Should you need more assistance, Contact Apple Support directly to look into this in detail with you.

Cheers!
