“motion blur“?

I bought an iPad pro 11 2021. Immediately after the purchase, I discovered that when scrolling through the settings, a loop remains behind the letters. Is it normal?

Yes, the problem is present only when scrolling. The faster the scrolling, the greater the blur.

When your iPad is conserving power, it may be using a low display frame-rate - and this can produce a motion blur when scrolling. As soon as you stop scrolling, you can presumably see on-screen text clearly?

If your iPad is misbehaving, a forced-restart will often clear an isolated software issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
