Migration

I am in the process of migrating my macbook air 2013 to a new macbook air. I had filled the 2013 model w/all 125gig. I started the migration at 2pm yesterday and it is still going now at 9am so that is 17 hours. Should it be take this long or is something wrong?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Are you trying to do this via wifi? This often works very badly or not. The best thing to do is to back up your old mac to an external drive with TimeMachine and then use this external drive to migrate the content to your new mac. This works usually without any problems and you can use the external drive to backup your new mac
