Hi there IreneP32,

We'll need more information to see how we can help with the issue you're seeing on your iPhone. Does your phone number and email address appear in red in Settings? Where are you seeing this exactly? If you tap on the red circle, do you see any messages?

Also, which iPhone do you have and which iOS version is listed in Settings > General > About?

Send over these details, and we'll take a closer look from there.

Cheers!

I have a 8 Plus IPhone with IOS 15.4.1 software. When I am sending in messages to my phone an article or such from a browser my email addresses are red and the circle with the i will not highlight any message when I press it. I think the red circle with the i means information. My FaceTime icon also appears in red letters. My whole email address appear red, sometimes and sometimes the address is blue and the red circle with the i is next to all my personal email addresses. This happens when I’m sending a message through messages. Thank you.

Hey there IreneP32,

It sounds like you may be describing the behavior discussed within If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

"If you see a red exclamation point

If you try to send a message and you see Exclamation mark icon with an alert that says Not Delivered, follow these steps:

  1. Check your network connection.
  2. Tap Exclamation mark icon, then tap Try Again.
  3. If you still can’t send the message, tap Exclamation mark icon, then tap Send as Text Message. Messaging rates may apply. Contact your carrier for more information.
