MBP m1 shows external hd only in system report

Hi,

I have an external usb-c hd from LaCie which I used for time machine backups. Since some time when plugging it in, it will not show up in the finder or in the disk utility app. It just shows just up under "About this Mac" -> "System report".

A restart did not help.

I testet it on my iMac where it shows up immediately. I formatted it there but it does not help.

I testet an usb-Stick and an other external hd which I had to connect via the usb-a to usb-c adapter to the MacBook m1. Both showed up as it should be.

So I have no idea what I can also can try.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.4

wow that was a fast answer and for now it seems that it has solved whatever problem my MacBook had.

When booting in safe mode the hd showed up immediately and after that also when booting normal. I hope it will stay this way.

Before I ask here for help I did a lot of research in the internet but never found something about safe boot.

Thanks a lot!!
