Camera Issues

My camera app locked up when switching between camera modes. I think after the 15.5 update (may not be related) it stopped locking up and now the wide angle camera just doesn’t work. Since day 1, I was given an error message that my camera has an “unknown part”. I haven’t added or replaced anything on my phone, so I was given the option to send my phone in and they’d eventually send it back or go into an Apple store, which I’ve read they will end up taking my phone and giving me a loaner? This is a bigger issue it seems by searching forums online. Apple, wth?
