Apple password and trusted number

I have a new phone and I am setting it up. I have my Apple id but forgot the password. But the problem is that it is trying to send a code to a phone number that no longer exists. How can I get it to send the code to my email (which is in fact my Apple ID) so that I can change my password?

Here are the steps to follow If you have forgotten your Apple ID password – Apple Support. And here’s the steps to follow If you didn't receive your verification or reset email – Apple Support.
