How do I remove an application

If the app is not an Apple app that is included in the macOS, then the simplest answer is simply drag the app out of the Applications folder and onto the Trash icon in the Dock. Some applications are coupled with an uninstaller and you should use that.

macOS apps like Mail, Calculator and Contacts cannot be removed.
