MacBook Catalina update stuck on “Estimating time remaining”

Hello, I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro updated with a 250GB SSD hard drive in 2020. Finally doing the Catalina update and it’s stuck on Estimating time remaining (see photo). I tried restarting in safe mode but ended up stuck at the same spot. It’s been like this for 24 hours. Any ideas? Thank you!
