Why am I not getting approved for an Apple Card

I have nothing in collections, no debt, 1 credit card that I just got. I am 22 and just now learning about credit and taking care of things and I have been denied multiple times for the Apple Card. It is a starter card and should not be this hard to get approved or to find help or answers as to why I am being denied. I know many people with lower credit scores than me, massive debt, and terrible credit usage that have been approved for the Apple Card. Make it make sense.

As you are learning, little is more important

in being granted credit than an established credit history.

Your age and effective lack of a history are no doubt significant contributing factors counting “against” you.

Not your fault. Just the current state of the system.

I wouldn't call the Apple Card a "starter card". But, be that as it may, the approval process is not especially transparent. Lots of people with good credit, other cards and without excessive debt have been denied.
