Combine multiple image files into one pdf

I was wondering how to take multiple image files and combine them into one pdf. You can do this with Preview. The directions I used are here: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/convert-images-to-pdf-macos-preview/

Combine files into PDF I was following instructions on combining files into a single PDF file. The instructions, from Apple, used Quick Actions, using the Create PDF command. But I don't see that command listed, only Customize. OS Monterey was installed on this 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max laptop.

combine large number of pdfs What happened to Preview?? Apple completely ruined it. If I want to combine hundreds of single pages into one pdf, I used to be able to just open them automatically in one window, all the thumbnails appeared down the side, I could sort them by filename to make sure the pages were ordered correctly, then print the lot to a single pdf. Now I have to open every single page separately and manually tell each one (of hundreds) to view thumbnails, then manually drag the thumbnail into position??? I’m not going to be doing that. Preview was the one thing that kept me from switching to windows! Please tell me there's a way to either roll back to a previous version of Preview or OS, or a setting I can change to get back the old way of combining pdfs! (High Sierra 10.13.6 and cannot update further as it's an old machine)

problem converting png to pdf I just got the 16 in MacBook Pro, and When I am using preview I am having trouble successfully converting my PNG documents (specifically ones that are multiple pages) to PDF documents. I do it no problem on my 2 year old MacBook Pro but when I try on the new one it changes all the pages to duplicates of page 1.. idk what to do. please help me.
