Airpods case wont work

So if i plug my airpods in with the airpods in the case itll charge the airpods but if i dont pair them to my phone while its plugged in it wont connect and when i unplug the airpods case ill open the airpods and nothing will happen but if i take an airpod out and hold the back of the airpod itll turn on and connect but the case wont pop thst little screen up on your phone ir anything unless its plugged in

Airpods Hi. I recently purchased a new charging case for my airpod 2’s because it wasn’t working, and now I cannot add my airpods to my iphone. I tried to reset, clean them out, charge them, etc. It only flashes green. Any ideas?

Airpods 2 not working I am very confused because I ah e left my airpods on charge and when I open the case the green light doesn’t show up it only comes up when I press the back button and the pop up does not come on my phone when I open the case
