Copying URL onto a Pages doc issue

Whenever I try and copy a URL (for instance a URL for a youtube video) into a pages doc it comes up with a picture of the video instead of JUST the URL. Is there any way to get this to default to just the URL and NO image?

Copy the url from th location bar of your browser.


Click in a location in Pages that holds text or is formatted to hold text.


Go to the Edit menu and choose the highlighted menu item in the image below:

The second copy of the URL was pasted using the keystroke combination shown on the same line of the menu.


Both copies are (in Pages) active links to a 'cute kitten' video.
