AUX not working

I have recently purchased the IPhone 12 and I am having some AUX problems in my Nissan Murano 2012 with it. When I plugged in my old IPhone 8 Plus with a usb cord it worked with any song or video on my phone. But now with my iPhone 12 it says “no songs.” What can I do to fix this?

iPhone 12 Pro Max don't recognize that an AUX cord is plugged in I bought a new iphone 12 pro max and plugged it into my aux cord and it would play music through my speakers in my truck. Iphone XR stopped working with Honda CRV USB after IoS 14.2 I have a 2011 Honda CRV that has a USB connection specifically for an Apple Ipod or Iphone connection. Since it is older, it does not have bluetooth capability for music or CarPlay. After updating my Iphone Xr to IoS 14.2 it says 'no song' when I hook it to this USB connection. My phone has always worked to this point. I have a certified Apple cable and iTunes. Is the phone no longer compatible now that I have downloaded the latest software?
