cannot restore ipad as software is out of date I am locked out of my ipad as entered the incorrect passcode multiple times. I have tried to restore using itunes on my pc, but it says it cannot do it as the software needs updating on the ipad. I cannot update the software as I am locked out. Any ideas?

It means to update to the latest version of iTunes on your home computer, not your iPad.
