iPad mini 6 touchscreen not responding

i have only had my iPad mini 6 for about a month months. Out of the blue today, the touchscreen stopped responding. I tried a hard restart and it would not restart. I even called Apple support and after she walked me through both the restart or recovery modes, it still would not restart. I’ve never had a device that wouldn’t hard restart.

Anyone else had this issue?
