I am trying to erase all content from my Iphone X and don't need to back it up but it keeps getting stuck on uploading data to icloud and won't let me proceed. It won't let me skip the backup either.

I am trying to erase all content on my IPhone X to trade it in. The data has already been transferred to the new phone but I keep getting stuck on uploading data to iCloud and it won't let me skip the backup.
