Error "4042"

I just had a problem on a iPad 9th Gen, updated to iOS 15.5 with 50% battery while unplugged and now the tablet is a brick. On itunes I get error 4042. The Ipad would crash and reboot only when playing games just after I updated to iOS 15. I thought the iOS 15.5 update would fix the problem, but it just made it worst, after the update to iOS 15.5 it crashed and reboot couple times when trying to open a game then the screen went gray for couple seconds and then completely powered off. It is a brick now and when plugging in the power cable I cannot even see the charging icon. I tried to restore the iPad using iTunes, I was able to put it in DFU mode, but whenever I try to restore, it pops up a message with this Error 4042. I've been looking for a solution but it seems Apple Customer Support is completely helpless according to several posts I found in Apple Forums. Hopefully some wizard could give us the solution. But in the meantime, thanks Apple for the brick.

Hi _-Daniel-_,

To address this issue with your iPad, make sure your computer is running the latest software and you're using the latest version of iTunes. You can also try using a different cable to connect your iPad. Try connecting to a different USB port. If you have a VPN or security software enabled, disable it while trying to restore.

Follow additional guidance in iOS update and restore errors.

After making changes, follow the step in If you forgot your iPad passcode to refresh recovery mode and complete restore.

Regards.
