iPhone hotspot changed name and asked for password again

Hello,

My usual iPhone hotspot network changed itself from "iPhone" to "iPhone (2)" on my MacBook Pro, and it asked me to type my password again. I made no changes, would someone be able to explain why this sudden change? I tried to look for security threats explanations, but I didn't manage to find anything relevant.
