How to retrieve deleted text messages from iPhone?

I am going through a divorce and I panicked a couple days ago and deleted three years worth of text messages. I have tried and paid for every app on the market with no success. I did not use a back up and I’m not familiar with iTunes. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
