Update Safari on old Mac
How can I update the Safari browser on my macOS Sierra

If you're using a version older than 12.1.2, check for updates in the Mac App Store. Otherwise, you'll need to upgrade the OS; your iMac can be upgraded at least as far as High Sierra.
