Voice to text Misspelling

How do I correct a voice to text misspelling of my name, so when it does get it right, before it “corrects it”, I can signal the system to stay with the first spelling? I’m not using Siri, just the internal dictation microphone in notes, emails, etc.

I have solved my problem with the help of a suggestion from a different source.

I had to do it more precisely than had been suggested.

To add the correct spelling of a name to the voice recognition that comes with the built in keyboard, not Siri, that hasn’t accepted the spelling you have wanted in the past, do the following:

Go to:

Settings

General

Keyboard

Text replacement

Press the + in the top right corner,

•• ONLY FILL IN THE TOP FIELD. It’s titled: “Phrase”.

Type the spelling of the name you want it to recognize.

Press: Save (It’s in the upper right corner).

(DO NOT FILL IN the field named: “Shortcut”).

The phone will fill in the second field: “Shortcut” for you with the same spelling you entered under “Phrase”.

The spelling you want will now be recognized.

Unfortunately your suggestions did not work. It starts spelling my name correctly then changes it to what it wants and if I select it and try and dictate it again, it either spells it the same way again and changes it again the exact same way, or it picks a completely different spelling and if it if I do it again it picks a third spelling and on occasion even if it starts out right it still switches it to one of the two it likes but not the one I am suggesting.

I have tried to say my name and then follow it by dictating the spelling which unfortunately comes out in all CAPS which is not functional for everyday life and it still changes it back to what it wants not what I’ve just said.

Is there a code word that I can use so it will know it has just misspelled it and allow me to spell it correctly for it?

For a while it was spelling it the way I wanted and then immediately afterwards changing the last letter but since then it’s tried two completely different spellings. It’s almost as if it doesn’t have the correct spelling of my name as a possibility in the software..

it only occasionally offers me the correct spelling after I press the keyboard, then highlight it and press replace and often the correct name is not one of the options even if they’re giving me three possibilities. Sometimes it doesn’t list any replacements. It doesn’t seem to be learning.
