second monitor will not display (Mac - Mini M1 2020)

I have a second monitor I'm trying to get to work, the second monitor shows in the the system preferences \ display menu, but no output to the monitor itself. When I disconnect it it will disappear in displays and vice versa if I plug it back in.

Mac - Mini M1 2020

I'm using a USB-C to HDMI monitor cable.

What am I overlooking?

Thanks.

More details please.

What Displays are you connecting the the M1 Mac Mini?

How is the other working display connected?

What USB-C to HDMI cable are you using?

First I would check the Source or Input settings in that displays on screen menu.

Next I would try one an Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter and a Premium Certified HDMI cable.

the > USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple

or the > Belkin USB-C to HDMI Adapter - Apple
