• Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Just to advise you, Apple Support will not have any information regarding release dates of new hardware, even the Apple Store personnel do not know that date until the last minute. No agent would have the information and since Apple is highly secretive if they somehow knew they would be fired if they gave out the information. And your recommendation impacts your paragraph on why the wait as directing people there just makes the wait longer.
