Hi, I need to find images that are inside several different folders. just need to find image files, no any specific. These folders are all around my system.

These folders all contain a word in its folder name, let's say TONI, so I search for folders whose name contains TONI and I get the search result as a list of folders.

Now I need to find (and then open) all image files that are inside those folders, but I don't want to do it one by one, I need to get the list and then open all. Is there a way to do that?

I tried: once getting the folders search result displayed, add the condition document container>contains >TONI and where from>contains>TONI and in both cases results where zero...

any thoughts?

thanks!

Spotlight indexing generates an index to every file in every folder of the currently indexed drive. So, you can search for that file and each result will have a path to its location. Or you can perform a compound search in Spotlight. I have this folder hierarchy on my Desktop:

And I want to find all occurrences of m.jpg.

(kind:folder AND name:mockups) OR (kind:image AND name:m.jpg)

That produces:

And with the Finder's View menu > Show Path Bar enabled, I can click on each m.jpg and see its specific location in that folder hierarchy. The third m.jpg is at the root of the TestX folder.
