My iPhone is an a iPhone 5 and it is 10.3.4 it doesn't allows me to download application it always asks for update to version 12.4
If Facebook and WhatsApp require a version of iOS higher than 10, you can not install those apps on your device. You will need a newer device
Unfortunately, the iPhone 5 is not compatible with iOS 11 or higher. It can not be updated further.
The iPhone 5 does not have the required hardware to update further. That can not be changed.
