My old Apple Watch is paired to my new Apple phone but it keeps looking for my old Apple phone which is gone. How do I fix this?

My old Apple Watch is paired to my new Apple phone but it keeps looking for my old Apple phone which is gone. How do I fix this?

Remove your watch from the old phone;
From a web browser,sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.
Go to Find iPhone.
Click All Devices at the top of the screen.
Click your Apple Watch.
Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.
Click Remove from Account.

NO, Not what I was asking. My watch is looking for my old iPhoneXR even tho it was traded in for my new iPhone13 Pro. It is linked to the new iPhone 13 but keeps telling me the XR and is not available. How can I get rid of this annoyance?
