Forgotten old passcode for iCloud setup.

I factory reset my phone because it was an option when i forgot my passcode. But now it requires that same passcode to restore my iCloud, can anyone help with this?

Hi Brentleyyy,

If you have two-factor authentication enabled for your iCloud account, this is expected. You should see an option "Forgot?" to select and approve your sign in from another device.

Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

If you don't have another device to approve from, you should also see an option for “Can’t Approve”.

From here you can use this option to reset your end-to-end encrypted data on your iCloud account. If needed, you can view details here: iCloud security overview - Apple in the section "End-to-end encrypted data."

You can also view full information about it here: About iCloud Data Recovery Service

You can also find helpful information here: If restore from iCloud backup failed

Best.
